Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker Set (SH-4 + SH-2N)
Seymour's Classic Humbucker Combination
Created by Seymour during his time in England in 1974, this classic combination of humbuckers - an SH-4 JB for the bridge and SH-2n Jazz Model for the neck - remains his favorite set of pickups. It provides a versatile and high-quality sound that suits various music genres, from blues and country to hard rock and metal.
The SH-4 JB Model
This is Seymour's most popular pickup. Equipped with hot coils and an alnico 5 bar magnet, the JB Model offers:
- An unmistakable upper midrange attack
- A tight, articulate low end
- Harmonically rich highs
- Suitability for various genres, including blues, country, hard rock, and metal
The SH-2n Jazz Model
The Jazz Model uses an alnico 5 bar magnet and a special coil wind, providing:
- An articulate, glassy treble response
- A full, yet tight low end
- A scooped midrange for smooth tonal character
- Great versatility, suitable for almost any style of music
Initially designed as the matching neck pickup for the JB Model bridge pickup, the Jazz Model has been the choice of many great players, from Randy Rhoads to Jeff Beck to Seymour W Duncan himself.
